Harvesting hemp

I have tried everything I can think of, I accidentally harvested it once, but I haven't been able to duplicate it.

Also, is it plantable?

You need to craft a sickle for that.
Harvest hemp with it, then you gain some satlings

Yeah, a sickle to then harvest it and plant whatever you gain in a farm. What Maviba mentioned.

Note to Red51:
I do hope tree saplings can only be grown on dirt because you can grow them anywhere, on any surface. Farming should only be done only on dirt also, not on sand.
