Best in-game Graphics Settings
So, me and a few others decided to play with the graphics settings for two goals;
1. To make the game look it's best.
2. To eliminate anything using system resources without being noticeably beneficial to goal number 1.
This is what we found most anyone should be able to set their settings to.
In Game: Press Esc key, choose Settings, then Graphics tab.
On the right side of this page are several possible items that can be checked. After testing with several systems, we've found for the best visuals in game yet greatly improved performance as well, to only have the following settings checked;
Grass Masking, Water Reflections, & Specular Lighting

On the left however, is in particular, View Distance and Detail Distance. These two settings will make larger impacts to system performance / resource usage. Ideally for best visuals, the highest number values would be used. But, most people with lower end gpu's will need to adjust downward from the maximum.
Here's suggestion for those with decent gpu's... max the numbers then adjust downward simultaneously both View and Detail until you acheive no lag or hesitation periodically as you walk. For instance, with mine maxed, I could walk along and every 10 steps the game would hesitate just slightly, almost not that noticeable even so pay close attention. After turning down these settings 2 adjustments, the hesitation was gone.. I can now see the world load at a lot further distance away... very awesome for the view. Hope this helps many.
