Vegetation removal

I am wondering if there is a way to remove trees, plants, flowers, etc from an area quickly. I am terraforming a large area and removing them manually is very time consuming. Any thoughts?

The best way is to download the areaprotection script. Then, simply draw an area over the desired clean-up area. Then, while inside the area, type "/cleanuparea" this will remove all vegetation, except grass, and all construction stuff.

I downloaded the script but I can't seem to get it to work. How do you select the area? These commands are issued in the "chat" box?
