How to mod GTA 5 enhanced?
I just got this game a month ago, and I found out that there are mods. I want to know if there is any mods anymore, and how I can download them. I cannot undownload or redownload GTA 5 Enhanced, and I am not going to be downloading GTA 5 legacy. I have not messed with the files in any way, and I think that mods would be fun. Please help me with this.

There are mods, but no support for modding such as openIV.

You can go into the discord for codewalker and get the newest build to make in-game mods, And scripthookV got an update for gtav enhanced support.

RealityV got its third release just a couple days ago which improves the raytracing stuff and adds secondary light bounces for the RTGI ( with a noticeable hit to performance ) but it looks so much better now if you can handle the hit, To install that one you just need to copy 2 files into the update folder but keep a backup of the original files so that you can play GTAO
:edit:
It now goes into a "mods" folder so no need to replace any vanilla game files :)

There's also 2 other graphics mods, one is almost 12GB so expect that one to change a lot more than just visuals and ingame shaders.

Thank you for the information. I was not planning on making mods myself. Could you give me a step by step runthrough on how to add mods to your game?

the mod downloads have a readme and they'll tell you how to configure enhanced to run with mods, for the most part you only need to have a couple mods in the main game folder where the .exe resides, RealityV is packaged inside a mods folder so you literally just extract and then copy the mods folder over.

in my folder I have :
OpenRPF.asi
SimpleCamera
ScripthookV

then the mods folder which has RealityV installed

So I would only need to download a GTA 5 mod from ModDB or GameBanana and it will have a readme that I can follow to download and install the mod? Do I have that correct?

Theoretically, most have readme's, or install instructions on the download page - usually.. also listing 3rd party requirements too. Some mods you may find later have zero instructions but follow a more 'generic' install process when you see the file names, types, and possibly mimic instructions from a similar style mod.

Also, game updated yesterday - so once again, some mods are outdated - like scripthookv. So, back to waiting for update on that (2-14 days.. hopefully quick), making backups/downgrading, steam in offline mode pre-backup, using steam console and steamdb to pull the old files, or finding friend/someone providing them (I have just the .exe's available on my profile).

Storymode modding can be fun - but game updates can become a challenge if you don't have a process down to counter it.

/goodluck

edit -
Scripthookv has been updated now.
Supported patches 1.0.3504.0/1.0.813.11
