Is GTA 5 playable on the Steam Deck?

The store page says it is unplayable but I have been reading on Reddit that it is playable.

Single player is. But online is disabled due to not being able to use anticheat. If you try to do a work around your account may get banned

Ok. I was wondering. I was thinking of buying it to play on the Steam Deck OELD. I have played it before but I haven’t finished the games main story.

Yes it is playable on single player mode. GTA V Online for Steam Deck / Linux with BattlEye would only be a matter of couple of clicks 'n' ticks if Rockstar wanted.

Valve has made the AC activation choice as easy as possible for the developers / those concerned.

Sure is, it is the same old dinosaur engine from 2013, you'll be totally fine, take the RT aside and is pretty much the same game or worst because no more MSAA only FXAA/TAA or temporal upscaler. Remember, BattleEye so... you're good for SP.
