I was able easily migrate but no story mode

I was able easily migrate GTA Online it did that automatically Story Mode not so much I was only half way through the campaign but that's OK at laest I able to save online and that's all that matters to myself

Has me wondering if controlled folder access in windows is messing with things since this is technically a new .exe/etc - and people could be forgetting about adding whitelist that. Too lazy to mess with it right now though -.-

Some others said they had to try multiple times but again, lazy, not testing it.

edit - Yes, who knows if this moves your achieves. Achievements is not something I really care about, or go out of my way to transfer. If this concerns you, do some more research. As for the game behaving differently, or instability. Not currently seeing it. I will update if I experience these things.

Further, had I not actually 'had' legacy installed - I certainly would not have downloaded it to transfer a single story save game. I know there are plenty of others out there that are bandwidth limited and that is silly. Enhanced was not finding my local savegames either - if/if not a thing - and it should have been. R* could have done this much smoother.

this worked for me on epic games for story mode, still unfortunate i can't manage to migrate my online profile. i didn't even get the option to migrate my story mode save in the first place anyway

edit: also for whatever reason the performance is worse on my old save???

Warning: While I could get the game to load this save, it behaved differently from a save transferred using their transfer system. For one, only 4 or so achievements unlocked by copying over the original save file instead of all of them, and furthermore, when I used transfer tool instead, the file size of the save grew.

Given that this system, while really stupidly put together, does indeed do more than simply transfer the file over, I'd advise caution before doing this. There could be instability during play.

Read their post about it. You have to load up the Legacy version and choose the option to upload the save.
