Mods not showing up???

So when i download mods from the Workshop they work fine. but apparently they are suppose to show up in the mods folder and in the make your own mod section but they don't. Also, when i try to make a mod it doesn't show up in the mods list in the make your own mod screen.

Pls help?

The Mods you download dont show up in the folder in the gamefiles. This folder is just there for manual installation of Mods or testing out own ones.

For your own Mod: be sure the modinfo.txt is there (also for the description dont use these -> " <- characters), the thumbnail.png and steamthumbnail.png must be there and the folders are showing the correct way to where the Mod would be applied.
Also, what kind of Mod was it?

It was a level. i had the thumbnails and modinfo, but i probably didnt have them in the right places. how do i arrange the files? Do i just put them in a folder? Do they have to be packaged?

well i got the mod to work, but the level wont. show up. when i play the game with the mod turned on i never see my map...
