Why can't mods be used online?
I get that we shouldn't play custom game modes online, but why can't we use custom characters online?

Inappropriate characters, I'm guessing.

Then why not have the option to make them appropriate and use them. I'm not complaining, the game and everything about it is great as I say in my review and it's a really fun game, but why not add to the fun by allowing us to use user created characters online? It would also motivate people to keep creating more content for the workshop, just suggesting!

if so then why make it where only you can see the mods? (charaecter mods can be seen for this).

If someone uses alot of custom characters, every player would have to download all of those for each other player. Thats like joining a new game in garrys mod and having to download all the new maps, and if your internet is slow-medium, that means you have to load for some time, which in turn takes away from the fast paced experience the game should have.

Fair point.. well what can be suggested is for the developers to see some of the custom characters and add them in the game with all the right licenses of course. I would love to play as some of those characters but I don't have anyone to play with locally, plus again it would give motivation to people to create them.

Well, a skin pack would be the same as getting an update, and each update adds at least a few new characters

The skin pack would act as normal characeters that are aproved by the owners, said skin packs would be in a big update not just little update. Don't you guys play minecraft?

Included in those few characters could be ones created by users in the workshop!

Or make an in game currency system with which you can buy packs that will include content made by users, it could be fun
