Why Exactly Do we all hate Manaan

I have concluded that manaan is my least favorite planet and this reigns true for many other kotor players but why exactly do we all hate it so much

Also, who says the Selkath have a good government? Obviously it is bad! I lied about literally everything in a court case to defend myself from execution, yet I still became the Arbiter for another!

You mean after the trial you are not allowed back on the planet? Because this is not always the case

I dislike Manaan for the Court case where I have always used the Guide Book or looked up exactly what to say online and where and how to gather all the evidence. After many playthroughs Ahto city just feels like a chore before getting to see the secret republic Base underwater.

I wanted to see Manaan again in Swtor and unfortunatley it's just a flashpoint not a full planet you can explore.

If you don't kill the shark you should be fine to return. Manaan has Genoharadan which is good money and some +4 strength gloves.

I'm not sure why this is getting so many comments as of late. I posted this in 2012 on the tail-end of my very first KoTOR playthrough. I was a 12 year old boy frustrated with this dinky water planet. Since then, I have completed a handful of additional playthroughs and I have come to greatly appreciate the atmosphere and natural beauty of Manaan.

I love it despite getting myself into an instant death loop by skipping a step and having no saves prior to the Sith base, before I learned how to edit my games during my first playthrough. Especially the underwater parts... the music is why I was excited to do the prologue questline to the Shadow of Revan storyline in SWTOR. I do remember I did hate Manaan for a brief period after losing that twenty hour save.

no i love manaan! i like the atmosphere. the people. that i could win the trial when i got the plans for the star forge. yes i won it. i just randomly clicked all decisions and i was able to stay at the planet. i dont think anyone else managed it before me. i am very proud on me

When you need to use the diving gear, it’s so damn slow, for no reason as well, even the npc walk faster than you
