How to patch Steam version to 1.03?

Apparently the steam version is very old and unpatched... How do I patch it to the most recent version, which is 1.03? Also, how do i install mods for the steam version?

I'm pretty sure that the Steam version is patched to the most recent version...

As for installing mods, just follow the instructions given with the mods. The mods are typically zipped, so you'll need to unzip them. There is usually a readme file with mods that will tell you what files you need to copy and where you need to copy them to.

Hi friend,
enter C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\SWKOTOR
and execute swupdate.exe
Will download the latest version.

installing mods to a steam game work the same as a non steam game... just gotta find the game in Steam\steamapps\common

Normally when you install a steam game it installs the latest version of that game. Not the case here. Steam only installs update 1.02. Run "swupdate.exe" to upgrade KotOR to is final update.

I'm pretty sure it should be the correct version... I went into the properties of the executable to check version after installing the game, and it is 1.03 so...

Good thinking Ark, just checked mine, it's 1.0.3.0 as well. That settles that then.

Given I'm late to the party, but as a heads up. The Auto updater or SWUPDATE.exe doesn't work anymore. For obvious reasons. Anyone know where I can get the update?

Edit: I'm not using the steam version, I bought the disk(s). And it's on the 1.00 version before anyone asks.
