All time favorite game but I always thought it was too hard but for replay value I tried again and found it doable.
I found it pretty funny when I got to the swoop races on tatooine, I was thinking to myself how the hell did I win the races when I was a kid as I was finding it hard and fustrating, I was like gawd I must of raged a lot.. I guess all that mario kart on the nintendos really helped lul :p
For anyone still struggling to win the race I had an idea and it worked perfect. The solution is to use Cheat Engine to lower the game speed, so you run the game in slow motion! This way makes really easy to hit the booster pads and it is less likely to miss them.
Here is the guide:
- Download and install Cheat Engine (www.cheatengine.org/)
- Open Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Start the race and pause the game at the very first light signal (ESC key)
- Press Alt + Tab to switch Windows desktop and open Cheat Engine
- Click on the icon under "File" and to open a process and select swkotor.exe
- Check "Enable Speedhack" box and set speed to 0.2. Then hit the "Apply" button. This will reduce game speed by 80%
- Return to the game by Alt + Tab or clicking the minimized window
- Resume the game. Be prepared before the third light turns on. Tap left-mouse button so you can start exactly at the moment the last light turns on.
- Make your best effort. I finished at 22:03 with this trick
- Enjoy
I believe it would even be possible to change the time limit by scanning the memory and changing the values, but you need to know what to look for. There is also a mod claming to change the track so you only have to go straight, yet I have not tested it. Download at your own risk http://www.starwarsknights.com/minigamestsl.php
I do not like cheating on games or anything but this race was really frustrating and was not making the game enjoyable (which makes me difficult to stick with the Jedi code: There is no emotion, there is peace).

I hope this guide helps other Padawans. May the force be with you.
You think Tatooine is hard, try Manaan the only way to beat it is to go through all the boosters. All of them.....
Not trying to hurt your feelings but yeah I got it no problem, just being honet.
