As Calo only uses pistols, the best strategy is to get in close with a lightsaber or vibrosword. Also, using a shield or the Improved Energy Resistance Force power will minimise the impact of his blaster shots.
If you need to, use all three types of stims as these add +4 to strength, dexterity, and constitution. And, of course, grenades are always useful..
From memory I had Bastila and Canderous to help me out of that situation.
Bastila had a tendency to heal me a lot and Canderous was nading Calo.
That logic aside. I normally pump up everyone with stims (adrenaline etc) before the fight. That includes keeping your energy shields active as often as possible (you get tons of them in game so don't worry about using one up for each character). I then get everyone to take out his lackies (and I make sure we are all focused on the same target at a time). Save Calo for last. That normally does it for me.
