Texture glitch (distorted floors, walls, and random lines)
When I play the game the characters are fine but the environment is all messed up. Mostly the floors are the problem but sometimes other spots. Also, random shapes made up of the pixelated spots appear and dissapear frequently. Any suggestions?

Have you tried turning off the frame buffer in the settings?

You can either turn it off under Advanced Settings in the menus, or edit the swkotor.ini file in the game's main directory. Under Graphics Options, there should be an option that reads:

Frame Buffer=1

Set it to Frame Buffer=0

That didn't make a difference either. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Likewise. I had this problem in the Undercity on Taris and also now whenever I'm in an outdoor location on Dantooine.Frame buffer and softer shadows are already off on my game and I'm also playing it on the lowest texture resolution but I still get weird lines through my sky and environment. The game is still playable and I rationalise it as a weird alien environment, but it is still pretty annoying.

Same. Trying to search for a texture fix mod now. Can't find anyother solution to work for me.

If you do find something definitely post the solution here. I've been looking for a couple weeks now but found nothing.

if you have nvidia
a) Open NVIDIA Control Panel --> Manage 3D settings.
b) Go to Program Settings tab.
c) Add the file you launch the game from by clicking on Add button.
d) In the setting window, change the 'Power Management Mode' to 'Prefer Maximum Performance'.
e) Run the program and check.

It appears that I have NVIDIA, and by searching for it, I can right click on the program and "open with control panel", however, I come to a completely different selection than what you're describing. Settings just brings me to "Hardware Device Selection" and "AGEIA Physx Diagnostics". No options for adding programs.

Hey,

I tried this and followed all these instructions but unfortunately couldn't test the gameplay as with these settings on, my game wouldn't even start up. It would crash right after the LucasArts startup movie.

I did this and had to turn off almost all of NVIDIA's special settings and it works great!

Thank You!

If you go onto your graphics setting turning off grass will fix it.

that literally has nothing to do with the issue......like at all.......and why that is even brought up is beyond me. It's like someone on fire asking for help and you say "have you tried taking vitamins?". They are describing texture issues and you are talking about power policy.
