Check that video out. It adds near-native support for controllers into the game. Also, check out PCGaming Wiki to optimize your gaming experience for widescreen and what not.
None of us here feels like hearing your non-constructive, negative feedback.
By the way, by dissing "kiddo controls" just proves to others that you aren't 13 years old, but rather, 12 years old.
*EDIT: Further more, playing with Mouse and Keyboard on the couch on your 50" widescreen doesn't make sense and is, confirmed by the PC gaming community, absurd.
I have since updated the profile since yesterday. Today, I merged the dialogue options onto the Set 1 Controls, so you'll no longer need to toggle between control sets for menu + dialogue to In-game controls; It plays pretty much the same as the Xbox 360 version. It also freed up the RB. I'll release it soon once i have the DS4 updated as well.
Some games need a controller. This one does not. Once you get it thru your head that this is a Dand D style pausable turn based real time rpg, and not a 3rd person action title, you get used to it. Playing 3d action titles with wasd kills me tho. Games like dark souls need the thumbsticks.
I know what you're talking about. Somebody I know has the same set up as you and is also relatively old. I've tried MKB on couch, it's functional, but I don't see it happening with me or a mainstream audience. I also played the original KOTOR I & II on Xbox when I was younger. I played through with MKB once on PC, but I've had several playthroughs on Original Xbox with KOTOR II (Didn't get to play KOTOR I because my brother had sold the game years ago before I started with KOTOR II), so I'm more comfortable with a controller, also I like lay down on the side with my controller and hands just around my mid-section, something you can't do comfortably with a regular MKB combo.
I also made this profile since there seemed to have been a large demand for it from the KOTOR community; and many of those asking for it were being shut down by ignorant PC elitists who thought it was not possible (think of the idiot car manufacturers who say electric vehicles are impossible - then game along Tesla).
The solution? Simply test and make a functional Xpadder profile for the luxury and benefits of those who are seeking a solution for gamepad support within the game. I do not understand why so many gamers are reluctant to accept gamepads for PC gaming, for it's the reason why PC's are evidently superior to consoles (not pointing any fingers at you - just tossing this out there).
Also I play skyrim with a controller. If the game is designed for it I will. Other than the hold left mouse to walk of this engine, it is point and click. Especially the combat, which is solved by round. Once you queue your actions you sit there. Why need a controller? Game isn't tactile in the slightest save swoop racing and turret aiming, dne fine wth a mose and kb and very minor parts of game.
As far as the electric cars, it was more t hey were in bed with the oil indusrty. Also, battery banks are very exp. As far as tesla, Musk almost lost it twice, and the cars have mad problems with said battery banks. Trust me its my dream car to have a roadster.
Oh, yes, electric vehicles are still in their development stages. Also, let's not forget the exploding pinto engine. So we can't just snag a few minor battery issues that are costly due to the cost of manufacturing (which will hopefully drastically decrease after Musk creates the gigafactory) over the fact that gas engines can quite literally burn you to death in the event of an accident.
I also have done a similar set up as you too before using a controller. Instead of a recliner, it was a big comfy chair with wide arm rests which had enough room to move the mouse in all directions without losing contact, and used a keyboard in my lap. I still preferred the couch however.
