Save so often you look at the menu screen more than the game itself. And prepare to reload saves often. But yes, its possible.
You'd have to do large parts of Taris with companions in your party (Canderous and Mission are pretty unavoidable) and use solo mode. Same with Jolee on Kashyyyk.
Toughest part would probably be the Sandpeople Enclave on Tatooine - if you don't have HK with you, you'd have to fight them all on your own - that's difficult enough with companions.
Best tactic is probably decent demolition skills and recover every mine you can. Then lay minefields, start fight, run away through minefield and hope enemies follow you.
If you decide to try then turn the difficulty down to easy and post how you get on.
