Game crashes after duel vs. Malak

I've got a little problem here. I defeated Malak in a duell after finding and activating the third starmap, then there's this space battle, and after that... my game crashes. I have deactivated video sequences so far,disabled hardware mouse... it won't work. I'm using Win7, btw.

same problem, im trying different resolutions and graphic settings right now

So I finally got past the space ship battle
What I did was reloaded the game, defeated Malak. Then I headed for the Hanger

The first time I had Carth in control when I entered the hanger to start the space ship battle. You may notice in the cut scene that only your character can be seen entering the Ebon Hawk. That's what might cause the glitch.

So instead I took control of my character and entered the Hanger, this time I see both characters enter the Ebon Hawk. Beat the next sequence and move on
