Glitch 1:
After you finish the main quest on the third planet you go to after becoming a Jedi you get captured by the enemy and the Jedi enclave gets destroyed. If you choose the Jedi Enclave planet as your destination after you finish the third planet, the game gets confused and glitches out. You end up in a debugging mode and there is no way out of it.
Glitch 2:
This one you can sometimes get by with some luck. When you get captured you choose one member of your party to rescue your main character and two others. Mission is one of them and she can get through the area with Stealth. If your main character does not have high awareness and/or you've raised MIssion's Stealth up fairly high, this can lead to issues when a future cutscene if you do not exit Stealth before you flip the switch and release your allies. Since seeing stealthed people is tied to a die roll, this can sometimes be bypassed if your character rolls really well. But it can take upwards of several hours to do this. As the cutscene doesn't know how to progress with an invisible Mission.
Here are some general tips:
1. You only have so many feats and powers to choose from. Don't pick too many to learn. Pick and a few and max them out. There are guides out there that will help you figure out which traits and feats to focus on depending on your playstyle.
2. When you have access to fast travel, that will instantly heal you and your party. Useful for after a fight where you almost die (or have everyone but one person die). Saves medpacs and/or force points. Especially since there is a teleport back feature as long as you don't change maps before you decide to travel back. So fast travel to the base, then fast travel back to where you were before.
3. Zaalbar is pretty tanky and a better melee person than ranged. Mission is better ranged than melee. So switch their weapons and if you're having trouble in a particular area, swap in Zaalbar once you get him for a tank that should be able to help you get past the trouble spot.
4. Try to have one ranged and one melee person with your main character. Especially if you're going ranged over melee.
5. Grenades are a life saver if you end up down to just a ranged character.
6. Remember that armor prevents Jedi powers from being used. IF you want your Jedi to be a support character and hand out buffs, don't stick them in armor that restricts Jedi powers. Armor that doesn't restrict Jedi armor will say as much. Robes won't restrict Force powers.
2) Buy Health packs
3) Use the melee characters to defend the ranged characters.
4) Make a team with ranged / melee characters.
5) Learn the healing spell, since when you're very low and almost dead you can heal yourself / team members, even when almost dead vs a strong opponent, run away. Wait a bit, use your heal spell multiple times when out of health packs until full health, go back, kill it.
6) Use stimulants
7) Equip the armor / weapons with the best stats.
Doens't always have to be a "bad player" to play on easy mode, sometimes I take easy intentionally because I don't feel like grinding for xp etc. ^^ Especially games I completed once, wouldn't care less about the difficulty, since I'm interested in a good storyline :D
Here's a more substantial suggestion though. Mild spoilers ahead, but seriously, very mild:
When you're finally free to take your spaceship to other planets(a few hours into the game), there's a Yavin Space Station you can go to. It's not a planet, it's one corridor and one room. Go there. Play Pazaak against the shopkeeper.(Until that point, whenever you see good Pazaak cards for sale, buy them. Especially if they go both ways.) If you don't trust your luck; save after every win, load after every loss. He plays you for 750 each time, so you'll be making good money. After losing to you enough, he offers you a discount at his shop. You also get more money for the stuff you sell him. And since he has great but expensive items, this helps a lot. If you have the power, you can also Force Persuade him to give you a discount(no change to alignment) and the two discounts stack.
This can be a bit boring if you don't like Pazaak though, or if you just find the sounds incredibly annoying.
And sure, this doesn't exactly help when you're JUST starting out, but most of the beginning isn't very difficult. Just be careful, and trust in the grenades.
It was not a satisfying conclusion to that quest line though.
