I cannot get Flawless Widescreen + Kotor to work on Windows 10
Back before windows 10 released, I used this guide to set it all up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6QE4WB1y14 [1]

I tried following this same guide on windows 10, but when I load up kotor with Flawless Widescreen running in the background, the game doesn't launch into a tiny window like normal and when I go to graphics options, I don't have any added resolutions or anything like I used to when using FWS+Kotor.

What am I doing wrong? Why is my Kotor launching in 1280 resolution with flawless widescreen running?

My steam instllation is in the default spot in the C drive, I honestly have no idea what to do at this point. so frustrating...

To get FWS to finally work correctly I opened the properties the for swkotor.exe to run compatibility mode with WinXP Service Pack 2, selected to run as Admin, then, I clicked "Change High DPI Settings". It will pop open a new window; in that window I checked the option (top check box) that says to use it to fix scaling problems. Within that section is a dropbox and I selected to "use the DPI that is set when I log on to windows".

Next, I clicked the bottom check box for High DPI override and set scaling to be performed by the application in the dropbox.

I spent many long and frustrating hours with many different methods to get this to work, so I hope this will help others.

Hey, this worked for me the other day, but now that I'm trying right now, the options for additional resolutions aren't appearing no matter what I do.

This helped me out in Win10 with the Game MassEffect3 and flawless widescreen! Many thanks! I had to copy my BioGame folder with the savegame and settings to Administrator account too btw. Starting ME3 as Administrator seems to redirect this.

How do I fix the hud, it’s all tiny and not in the correct places on the screen

Hi Daver105.Do you mean for For MassEffect3? In Flawless Widescreen in Settings\Configuration\Display Detection I set "Enable Display Detection Override" active and use the following values for 2560x1080:
Width: 2560
Height:1080
Hud Width: 1920
Hud Height:1080
Horizontal Display Count: 3
Vertical Display Count: 1
Hud X: 320 ( this results from 2560-1920=640 -> 640/2 = 320)
Hud Y: 0

If you have higher resolution there is an HUD MOD on nexus community:

Don't bother playing this terrible port, they shouldn't be selling this.

Solid post, thank you for that.

This is the real winner here, if you want to use FlawlessWidescreen.
Thank you!

Doesn't work at all for me, in fact it made flawlesswidescreen crash. :(

Okay the problem had nothing to do with FlawlessWideScreeen, it was the AMD drivers. Reverted to 22.5.1 AMD drivers from before last summer, everything works super smoothly now. KOTOR doesn't like AMD.
