If you do convert her to the light side though, she states that she's leaving the acadamy entirely and I think that triggers them to be hostile because that's the same thing as going back alone.
I think -butterballs- is probably right about those sith students, its one of those persuasion checks thats hardcoded to always fail no matter what.
That's the one thing I truly dislike about this game, is that when you're given a persuasion option, sometimes they're hardcoded to fail no matter how high your persuasion level is. I even took the two persuasion light-side feats and still fail to persuade someitmes; as was the case with those students if you don't travel back with uthar or yuthura.
