for this game, it's simple... you just put the files the mod author tells you in the "override" folder.
do you know how to find the kotor main file in steam > steamapps > common?
click on the start menu, and go into my computer.
go into the C: drive
find and open up "program files (x86)"
open up the steam folder
then open up steam apps
then open common
there you will find the list of your games you have on steam.
open up swkotor folder; this is the games main directory. there will be a bunch of files that make up the game, you are looking for a folder called "Override".
this override folder is where you copy and paste the mod files to.
let me know when you have found the override folder, then we can continue.
I got everything working and was 30 hours into the game. I got to the planet Kasheek (I'm sure I spelt that wrong) and right as I spoke to Jolee Bindo outside his shack for the first time, the screen shifts back to where I first met him and he was battling the beasts, but nothing is happening but music playing and the scene never shifts. I tried fixing this by downloading patch v1.03 at this link: http://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/437-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-patch/
After downloading the patch however, I can't even get the game to boot up because I get an error saying "Please enter the Star Wars(TM): Knights of the Old Republic (TM) Play Disc
I bought this on Steam. I never needed a disc before. Please help!
move the latest saves and your override folder in the games main folder to your desktop, then delete the game. install steams version again.
try removing the override folder and see if you can get past that probem. if it works, your mods are screwing it up.
