Controller support?

I noticed KOTOR 2 got a massive update this year for controller support and everything but what about this game? Is controller support available here?

I used JoyToKey, which you can get for free and I didn't get a virus or anything when I got it so I think it's safe. You might need to do a google search just to see what corresponds to which buttons on the controller and you'll need to know the keys in order to bind them, but it's at least one simple, free solution if you already have a working controller. I just recently started playing the game and I can't stand keyboard and mouse controls in general for just about anything. I don't know how to program anything fully compatible, but you can at least map the movement and camera keys to the pad or sticks on your controller. I also mapped left click and space to buttons and I usually will move my cursor to the center of the screen so I can just walk up and interact with whatever is in front of me without hitting the mouse. I still use it for talking and menus, and often in combat since I just have it auto pause after turns. It's still clunky and certainly not perfect, but it'll make basic gameplay less frustrating... if you're still even looking to play it at this point.

I uploaded one for the ps4 controller and so far it works fine, the healing button doesn´t heal you, it switches the healing item but holding the left trigger allows you to use items easily.

There is no control support. But if you have the steam controller you can bind the keys.. I recently just bought the steam controller for a few games. And this game works great with the steam controller just downloaded the template from the steam community.

Been used to console controllers this is the best solution. Plus it will work on all steam games. Just takes a bit of getting used to.

How would I do this? I have aq xbox style controller. i have 3 steam games kotr1, kotr2, and yugioh. the controller auto syncs to yugioh. i also need to know how to set it for kotr 2

I'd suggest trying this KOTOR PC controller support[www.rewasd.com] profile. was kind of a helpful thing for me

I believe it was made with no controller support but you can get controller support with controller companion.

Yeah, there's not controller support. What I did was use joytokey to at least map some of it to my controller. If you do that and turn on the auto pause it's not too bad, just a bit clunky.

What do you mean just a bit chunky Sam Lilly and also if I download this Joytokey if it's something you download then how dose this worrk you know how are you able to play the game with a controller I mean willl it somehow connect and or recognize the game allowing me to use a controller instead of the mouse and keybord automatically once Joytokey is downloaded or do you half to manually do something in order for the controller to work with the game?

You know I have and play the PC version more right I mean I don't remember if I gave away are original xbox copy of the game nor I think I care but i'am not talking about xbox original or not I was and still am asking about this Joytokey or whatever Sam Lilly uses or used to connect his controller too the game insead of using a mouse and keyboard witch is what I use but don't want to any more for reasons beyond my control again I think like what is joytokey and is it something kind-of gaming software you download cause I heard of this Joytokey before from people on YouTube but never used it myself?

I use controller companion. Yes I got the game on pc to since I wanna play it with mods and stuff.

I believe you can use xbox controller if it usb and you have a program that allows you to use controllers in non controller games.
