This thread title seriously needs to be changed. Very misleading.

Even *IF* Disney allows this, the amount of work needed to see this mod through to completion would be enormous. That is why so many huge mods for games don't ultimately get released - the team bites off more than they can realistically chew and real-world life issues gets in the way.

I really do wish the team well, but call me disappointed after reading that click-bait topic title.

They are just doing this for attention.

Not really being cynical. Just realistic. Chances are, if it is real; Disney will shut it down. They own the Star Wars IP now, and you can bet they will "protect it's interests".

However, I expect Aspyr do give KOTOR the same treatment they did to KOTOR 2. They are aware of the fanbase demand for it. Only a matter of time.

They didnt do anything KOTOR 2. All of the updates were fan made, and they uploaded them to steam.

Seriously. They dont deserve any credit.

Yes, they do for at least one thing. The widescreen support was Aspyr's doing and that's all that needs to be done for KotOR 1. What content was cut was cut for pacing reasons, and should not be restored.

Theres also a restored content mod for kotor 1,however i have only the kotor 2 content mod so im dont about what the mod brings back into the game.
@Satoshi Seinfeld
They definitely deserve some credit. While the fan patches fixed a lot of bugs and restored a lot of content, Aspyr did make a lot of fixes/additions such as

• 37 achievements
• Steam Cloud saves
• Native widescreen resolution support
• Resolution support up to 4K and 5K
• Support for controllers, including Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4, along with several others
• Steam Workshop support
• "Force Speed Effects" option in the menu
• Linux Support
• general bug fixes/additional compatibility support for newer systems.

While not all things I personally care about like controller support/achievements they definitely did some good work on it.

Have to admit tho,the workshops kinda crappy
i mean how some mods glitch each other out whereas they wouldent if you goyt them online on like deadlystream or nexusmods
Still i will say Aspyr did very well :steammocking:

I was referring to KotOR 1's cut content. There's no reason to restore it, it was cut because of pacing. Most of it was on Taris which was already the largest planet in the game. Didn't need to be any longer than it was.

Sleheyron, the volcanic planet was also cut, but there was basically nothing created for it left in the game files, one module with basically nothing in it. It wouldn't be a restoration, they'd have to make the entire planet from scratch.

Weather or not it should be restored is subjective to the player.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing the cut content. Even if it is on Taris, just more stuff do attempt to do at level 2, lol.
