Saving Hendar From the Rakghouls

KOTOR appeared to be running fine. I am at the part where I am in the undercity and I can either let Hendar die or try and save him from the Rakghoul. When I try to help him, my character goes out the gate, but then the cut scene stops. The characters are still moving and the music continues, but the fight never occurs. Has anyone had this issue before?

That's not a glitch. You have to actually fight them, not just watch it happen in a cutscene. Unless I misunderstand what's happening to you.

I don't think I explained clearly. It goes to the cut-scene, but does not progress forward ( I can't move etc, etc). I ended up just doing the decision to leave the gate closed & I was able to progress further. Thanks for the reply though.

Right after the cutscene the game will enter combat and auto-pause. If pressing space didn't work then I never heard of this bug.
