Carth's character quest on Korriban, Dustil Onasi setback.

[SPOILERS ON KORRIBAN QUESTLINE] Now. I'm aware that you require the data pad from Uthar's personal chambers to convince Dustil that the Sith Academy and the Dark Side is truly malevolent, mischievous and evil. But. I only figured that out, AFTER I completed the Final Exam mission in Naga Sadows tomb with Uthar Wynn and Yuthura Bann. Now, the Sith Academy wants my head on a stake. Including Carth's son, Dustil. Even though I did manage to wipe out the majority of the academy as I progressed onwards. It was until I came to Dustil, where I realized I had ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up big time with the mission. Since my retarded brain didn't decide to make any saves before I began the Uthar Wynn mission (Star Map questline), It became quite the setback. So I eventually chose to save right around the corner from Dustil's room, so he doesn't select to go aggro on me anytime soon. And began researching how to solve my unfortunate predicament. Now, first I found out I needed to deliver the data pad and talk to Dustil BEFORE I started the Naga Sadow tomb mission. Damn it. And, secondly I found out if I don't talk to Dustil and turn him back to the light side or decide to just kill him. Carth's character mission will be stuck in this limbo, just continously stating "We need to give this to Dustil. This is the proof we need" and so forth. So. Right now. I am in quite the peril. I don't want to kill Dustil and continue the game, and have Carth's mission be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Is there any way to make Dustil non-hostile, so I can talk to him and finish the mission? Everybody else at the academy is dead, so I don't think there will be any issues there if I'll be using any cheat codes. I've tried "tdetect" and "AddToFaction 0001c21c 0", but on both codes it just informs me Function "(either of them)" not found. I love this game so far, and I'd like to see in its entirety with Carth's mission and everything. So can anybody help me with this? You're my only hope.

This post is from a while back but I ran into the same problem. Even after I killed Uthar and Yuthura I was able to change my Party Selection while out in the valley, this way I could take Mission with me to help me get into Uthar's room, and also Carth with the hope that having him there would make a difference. I grabbed the Datapad from Uthar's room and went to Dustil but even then all characters would engage in combat mode and I'd have no choice but to kill him. Carth was in my party when this happened, Dustil died, and even after that Carth seemed to be stuck on "We need to bring him this datapad!" It was quite disappointing but this seems to be a bug in the game.
