KOTOR 1 bug - stuck and need HELP!!

Greetings All,

I'm at Korriban in the game, getting the fifth Star Map, and I've run into my first bug....
It's at the Sith Academy, Valley of the Dark Lords, and the Sith student Lashowe.

She [and us] have won the holocron after killing the tuk'ata, but she wants it all for herself, we object to that, and fighting ensues.
But in that fight, though it's three vs one, she never takes any damage. Her health bar is high and stays that way, no matter how many damaging strikes she is hit with.
It's not about healing herself, or taking medpacs - her health bar never moves.

So, what to do about this? I have no clue how to resolve this.
Any advice or help is appreciated.

This sometimes happens when you skip dialogue or attempt to talk to someone (click on then) when their conversation activate automatically when you get close to them,

I have a fix or work around for this, If you have mod's installed. This was happening to me.
I went to Steam\SteamApps\common\swkotor (installed location) I then saved all the files to another location. Steam\SteamApps\common\swkotorbackup the moved the saved folder back, had steam verify and get the files... played the save game. talked to her, fight beast, talk then fight Lashowe. after fight and picking up holocron. I saved the game and then deleted the files (NOT SAVE) then move back the files. If there's any problems make sure nobody has a modded item's equipped may help.

I know this is old but I'm just gonna leave this here for anyone else since this seems to be a common issue online. It's a bug with K1R and maybe other mods as well. What happens is the game switches her to god mode for the previous fight where she's your ally, but afterwards when you have to fight her it doesn't switch it off due to an error in the file name.

Scroll down and download the file k_pkor_las36!plt.ncs and put it in your override folder. I think you need to register on the forums to download the file.

Can you link to the file? Registration seems to be impossible. They don't send out verification mails.

That's odd. It may have just been getting lost in your spam filter? They're a very reliable community and I'd personally recommend any players who want to mod Kotor to register there. It's the heart of the Kotor modding community and many of the authors don't allow their mods to be posted anywhere else.

Thanks for that. I managed to resolve the issue by changing my email. Apparently the sites had problems with my previous mail provider.

This isn't so much a fix as it is a workaround. You have the option near the bottom of the dialog choices to let her go. She will then go back to the academy. You then have to talk to Uthar to ask about Lashowe, to which he will inform you of her treachary. Go confront her of not sharing prestige, and kill her then. Return to Uthar and tell him of your killing Lashowe.

No, it is a fix. The problem is, while all of what you said is correct, the game allows you to kill her in the valley as well if you so choose to stop her from going to Uthar in the first place. There's several reasons a player might prefer to go that route, especially if on the Dark Side.

To be fair to K1R, any edit made to Lashowe's .utc file seems to trigger this bug that turns her invincible. I made my own mod that merely altered the uniform she was wearing and it sprung up for me. I used the same file posted here to fix it.
