Not that it helps, but I have exactly the same problem on my Mac.

I've tried removing the entire override folder, but it still happens unmodified.

sounds like a glitch

i think it is like that because you need to talk to her to decide her fate

Can't talk to her. She stops attacking, but she's still red as in enemy rather than blue for interaction. And if you walk away and come back, she'll start attacking again.

Definitely a glitch, but I'm hoping someone knows how to get past it somehow...

Reload the save prior to confrontation with Bastila. If that doesn't help, check if you are using any mods that can affect it. You can also try dealing less damage to her

Having the same issue in a new playthrough on Windows 10. Also tried removing Override folder contents and running the .exe file as an administrator. Maybe I just need to start over... :(

Sounds like a glitch. She's supposed to de-aggro and initiate dialogue; something is preventing that from happening.

Reload an earlier save.

I had a similar problem with Lashowe when I installed a mod that fixed her appearance. If you have any mods relating to Bastila installed, I'd recommend temporarily uninstalling them, doing the fight and then reinstalling them. You could also try to search for anyone else having the same problem. I was actually able to find a separate file that someone uploaded to specifically fix my problem with Lashowe not dying after doing a quick search.

Ragnarok: Is there a difference between uninstalling a mod and removing the file from the Override folder? I thought I'd removed everything from the Override folder, but after reloading my saved game I still couldn't get the dialogue to trigger.

That depends entirely if the mod used the TSLPatcher to update any of the game's modules or .2da files/ other global files. Usually simply emptying the override folder suffices if it was just reskins or item file edits.

Ragnarok: sounds good. I noted which files were installed/overwritten (thank the Force I had the foresight to document what I was changing!), so I was able to go in and remove the stuff that had been put in other folders besides the Override folder.

Here's where things get interesting: I have two different game files where this was a problem (one scout, one scoundrel). The scout file, I saved right before opening the door and finding Bastila, and this one continues to be glitched. The scoundrel file, I saved earlier on in the Star Forge, and this one played through just fine after removing all the Bastila appearance mods.

So, I can beat the game with my scoundrel file. Unfortunately, I don't have any earlier saves for the scout, so I suppose I'll have to run through it all over again...but KOTOR is open-ended enough that I don't think I'll mind.

And I'll leave Bastila's model alone. I don't care if her eyes look too big if it means I can still beat the game on the Light Side path.

^This!!! I actually had the same issue. For me, Lashowe was invincible lol
For me it ended up being the restoration patch that did it: https://www.reddit.com/r/kotor/comments/7rwyl9/lashowe_is_invincible_with_restoration_mod/

I agree with Ragnarök, definitely a mod that is likely causing the issue or bug.
