HUD Correction problem
hi everyone I have a problem that I hope someone can solve for me , everything works for me, except for one thing when I try to put the HUD Correction I find myself with all the hud moved a lot to the right corner of the screen, if I don't put the hud correction all works well but it is too small to play, don't know what to do anymore, Thanks in advance for your answers

What is your resolution? And what do you refer to as "Hud Correction"?
The Trog Face Apr 22, 2022 @ 1:08pm
hi my resolution is 1920/1080 and the Hud Correction is a "mod" for having the hud scaled at 1920 , i followed this guide : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SKMzwKE34E

Thanks for the clarification.

Try the following process:
1. Run swconfig.exe - set resolution to 1280x960
2. Replace kotor.exe again with the "unlocked" Editable executable.
i. Download and run uniws (https://www.wsgf.org/article/universal-widescreen-uniws-patcher)
ii. From the dropdown select - Star Wars KOTOR (1280x960) (Or any other should work as well, for instance, I use 1600x1200 setting)
iii. Navigate to kotor folder, select it, in the bottom menu input screen width: 1920 height: 1080 ---> Click patch.
3. Go to swkotor.ini --> [Graphics Options] --> Set Width=1920 Height=1080
4. Go to https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1159-kotor-high-resolution-menus/
i. Extract hires_patcher.bat; hires_patcher.exe
ii. Run hires_patcher.bat
iii. 1st prompt - type " 1920 " , hit enter
iv. 2nd prompt - type " 1080 ", hit enter
v. 3rd prompt - type " yes ", hit enter
vi. 4th prompt - type " swkotor.exe ", hit enter
vii. 5th prompt - hit space, close the window.
viii. Now from the same zipped archive: go to 16-by-9 ---> gui.1920x1080 ---> extract all of the files from this folder to "Override" folder in the Swkotor root.
5. Download https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1226-hd-ui-menu-pack/
i. open downloaded archive ---> hd_ui_menupack_PV ---> Override --> extract all of the files to ---> "Override" folder in Swkotor root
6. (Optional) If fonts are too small / you want them bigger:
i. Go to https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1891-larger-text-fonts-for-kotor-1/ , download
ii. LargerTextFontsK1 ---> FONTS ---> there will be 3 types of folders:
Dialogue_description ; Menu ; Names. The process is the same as with the above.
Archives have to be extracted to the Swkotor root "Override" folder.
if you choose, for example, Dialogue_Description_Medium, make sure that the other two types of archives, also should be with the Medium tag.

This should give you a proper Hud/screen ratio now.

is there a process like this for kotor 2? Someone in the discussion was looking for a means so they could see properly but i could not find a good means to adjust font size for them.

My bad - Was writing late at night, and missed the crucial Universal Widescreen Patcher step. Check my post again, step 2 has been updated.

Basically, this is the setup I use on my 3840x2160 screen.

Check all the steps, you are doing something wrong. It has to work, especially on 1080p screen.

Make a screenshot of the issue you are experiencing.

I know this issue. You are not following my guide correctly at some point. Do everything from step 1, make sure you place a clean editable.exe file and overwrite your existing one.

Empty your override folder, maybe some leftovers are conflicting with one another.

hi,i downloaded the game from scratch to restart the process but nothing :( , everything works fine but as soon as I put the 1920x1080 in the override folder everything goes to the right, this https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1226-hd-ui-menu-pack/ works without the 1920x1080 folder, thanks again for your help
