Do you trust Aspyr for Kotor remake?

I'm not sure if I should trust them.

Since the only game they made was Stubbs the Zombie which they made it in 2005 or 2006 I think.

Other than that:

They did PC ports for Unleashed 1 and 2 which are kinda poor quality ports.(In the steam forums of those games 90 percent of the threads are about the games crashing or not working or saving.)
-Unleashed 1 on PC had very bad performance issues at launch before 2 patches. They also made the Stardestroyer section much worse with keyboard and mouse. That game also didn't got a proper in game graphic settings.
-Unleashed 2 never even got the Endor DLC and they didn't even bother to unlock the locked DLCs(5 extra challenges and some extra cutscenes and skins) in the game files.

They also did the PC port for Kotor 2 which that was really a bad port.(Soundtracks and cutscenes were poor quality at launch and they had to release some patches for them. They also made the game buggier compared to the original xbox version and fans had to mod that game a lot)

Outside of these, they ported Jedi Knight 2 and JA and RC to newer consoles. I'm not sure if they were the right developer for this "remake".

I don't have an opinion on Aspyr and how they will handle this, but Killer instinct for the xbox one and PC was made by multiple companies that were only known for doing crappy movie games and ports and that game was freaking amazing and even had the legend mick gordon do the sound track for season 1 and 2. They did other games, yes. But nothing that was ever "Oh I know those guys!" unless your talking fighting game ports then you would recognise iron galaxy.

Again, no opinion on what they can and can't do and if it's gonna be good, but you do have to take into consideration how the past works don't always translate.

I hope it's good, but I don't have any opinion.

I highly doubt it was his intent to 'secretly kill' the expanded universe. George Lucas never considered derivative works to be canon and simply did not seem to mind too much if his own work contradicted it.

He did not set out to dissapoint fans, he wanted to tell his own story regardless of what some fans might think. Some fans like clone wars, some don't... at some point you cannot please everyone.

Expanded universe was what that brought star wars back from the death in the 90s. It also persuaded Lucas to make PT. EU also allowed the star wars universe to get much richer and better.(EU also solved lots of plot issues of OT and PT)

George Lucas himself approved all those stories and even helped the writers when they were writing their stories.(Such as telling the Thrawn trilogy writer to change some stuff in his books).
He made profit from them and all those books were advertised to be canon.(For example you could see a book that it's story was set few weeks after episode 2 because on the book cover it was advertised to be a story that happened after the movie.)

But, he made them non canon. Betrayed the writers of those stories and annoyed the fans that just witnessed their favorite SW characters and stoties getting erased from Star Wars.

Oh I understand your frustration, the problem is that it is ultimately a business and businesses kinda need to look out for sunk cost fallacies and thus release or cancel incomplete products that you may or may not emotionally invest in...

Then again as a Star Citizen backer I can tell that a passion product with no publisher pressure has it's own issues as well with a whole new level of learned patience (-;

The KOTOR remake will be garbage. They are changing the story to work with Disney's garbage movies despite the original 2 KOTOR games having perfect stories, and the new writer for the game literally said she doesn't even like the games.

Lies spread faster than the truth. I doubt many of them bothered to look up the actual tweet and its context, and are just repeating whatever their favourite reactionary YouTubers want them to believe.
