Question about revan gender
Is revan a male or female? I am pretty sure in canon revan is a male (could be wrong) but in kotor 2, atton and kreia always talk about revan as a female. Is revan a dude or a girl?

However, Revan's gender in Kotor 2 is determined when you meet Atton for the very first time. Atton will refer to Revan as a "she" and if you don't choose a certain (funny) conversation option that corrects him and tells him that Revan was indeed a man, your character and everyone else will talk about Revan as if he were a female. :2017stickydrink:

What canon are you talking about?

Darth Revan is canonically male

Maybe Revan is a tricky ♥♥♥♥♥♥ now hence the confusion. It is the new age after all. Different strokes and all of that jazz. Lmao!!!!:steammocking:

I honestly don't remember this in the game the last time when I played it. Sounds to me though like Revan has some gender identity issues going on now. We need to sort this out so we can know what the proper pronouns are mates. lol:steamhappy:

I'm just saying, Lucas never officially supported Wookiepedia and all the books and comics and games. When he sold it all to Disney they said only the movies were canon and everything else was myth. So, what canon are you referring too? The one Lucas avoided like the plague or the Disney revision?

All jokes a side. I would assume the OP is referring to anything in the story line put out prior to this trend of idiots pointing their fingers and saying this is cannon and that isn't as if certain original movies and literature never even existed in the very first place. That'd be my guess mate.:steamhappy:

Yes, he did. An entire group of people were hired by Lucasfilm to specifically manage the Expanded Universe and ensure that the works therein were released in concord with Lucas' work if they were placed in the timeline. That he personally had no hand, or interest in it is irrelevant.

The only stipulation placed on the EU was that works within it couldn't contradict the "words of the maker". An example of this would be if Lucas declared for example: "Palpatine was the strongest Sith who ever lived." and a work in the EU made that exact same claim about a different character, George's word was law. If there was no contradiction, it entered canon as usual.

And are these people getting paid by Disney to maintain what Disney called all myth? If not, there is no official canon, except Disney.

The canon remains for all EU works regardless of whether anyone is being paid to maintain it or not or whether it's being expanded.

If you're going to have a conversation or argument pertaining to an element of the EU it still has to be had with respect to all other elements within it or else you're just going to needlessly confuse people.

This actually makes more sense for a Canon, its in game and consistent. However, there is no official canon to be shown outside these games as male, because there is no official canon to say this character is always male.

Also, I'm sure the group that got hired to maintain a dead database are proudly bragging about their jobs at the bar while probably asking for drinks.

Has Revan even been mentioned in canon?
