Later on, when you get ± cards, you can win more reliably. In the end, there will be a certain location in the game that gives you fantastic store discounts if you play Pazaak well.
Many players hate Pazaak with a passion and will just skip that part of the game every time they play it. I do admit, it's quite a frustrating minigame.
Balance Pazaak (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1270-balanced-pazaak/) - Will rebalance the cards that the opponent has so that it's a bit more fair. You're still handicapped since you always go first, and occasionally the opponent receives 4 20's in a row, but it's still better than how it was originally.
Easy Pazaak (https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/1154) - is if you rage-quit too many times. It will replace all your opponent's cards with 0's so you auto-win. I don't really recommend it, as Pazaak *is* rather enjoyable once you get better cards, but it's useful for the truly frustrated.
