♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I never knew that patch existed. I'm basically almost done with the game, I really don't want to restart. ♥♥♥♥, thanks for letting me know about that patch.
I don't know if it was after the Leviathan or setting the global k_xor_ambush value to 1 .. but it worked! I finished the leviathan and then changed the setting right after, so it was either of the two.
There is also a K_Xor_Ambush Fix in the global Boolean section that I also set on, so that may have played a factor as well.
AFTER Xor is defeated, you need to set the numeric value to 3 so that messengers will start appearing again. Read the bug and fix here: https://deadlystream.com/topic/3828-no-more-messengers-after-xor-ambush-fixed/
