Is there a way to de-level myself?

So I was foolish and used console commands and got my character to Lvl 20 (pretty much the first thing I did when I started the game) before I got to the Jedi enclave on Dantooine. So once I got my lightsaber created as part of the main mission, I found out that I needed lightsaber proficiency to use it, but as I'm max level already, I don't have any way to add more ability points to my character.

Am I screwed and have to restart the game? Or is there a way to console command the lightsaber skill in?

You probably need to install the Kotor save editor (KSE). That can be used to change your character's skills, feats and powers.

You can try the console command to addexp with the - sign. To remove experience points.
