Too low level on Manaan?
I was recently playing on Manaan in the Sith embassy and was finding it very difficult in the first battle, and possibly not manageable in the room that contains two large turrets.

My party is level 10 - 11, after getting a couple of level-ups in the embassy.

But I notice that YouTube videos show the Sith Embassy part being done with much higher level party and so being a lot easier.

In this video, the part is level 13 - 14:

In this video, a character is also leveled up to 14:

I thought I had done most everything I could along the way to Manaan. So, I'm a bit surprised that my party is so much lower than every other video I've seen.

What would I have missed?

You don't even need to fight those droids iirc, you just need to find that broken one with the codes in it. I assume this is your first planet after Dantooine, next you should go to Tatooine, just be ready for the boss on there

I think there's something to prove the Sith are kidnapping the Selkath children further in the base. Lots of XP to gain from clearing it out, too.

I left it alone for now, though. Instead, I've gone to the underwater base. There I encountered another sentry droid and this one is much stronger than the ones in the Sith embassy. I barely scratched that sentry drone before it wiped my party out.

I feel pretty under-levelled right now.

This is the first planet I've been to since Dantooine. Can I can leave it and go somewhere else for now and come back after doing another planet?

Yup, go to Tatooine, everyone recommends going there first before any other planet. Also, which party members are you using?

Right now, Carth and Bastilla. I switch them up pretty often, though.

Alright, you should be good. I used those 2 in the Sith Base, Got past those droids easily due to 'disable droid'. MAKE SURE TO PUT STUN DROID ON ONE OF YOUR PARTY MEMBERS AND UPGRADE IT, it will make your life easier :)

Disable Droid had no effect on the sentry drone in the underwater facility. I tried it a whole bunch of times. I'm guessing I was too low level to successfully use it on the higher level droid. I went to Tatooine now. I'll go back to Manaan after.

Thanks for your help!

Well, I remember disabling that droid; luck probably wasn't on your side for that, but oh well.

Actually, I recommend going to Kashyyk before going to Tatooine. I found that sometimes, the sand people on tatooine hit really hard, whereas in comparison to Kashyyk, there arent as many enemies, and you pick up Jolee which can use his force powers to wreck enemies.

Then I would recommend going to Tatooine/Manaan/Korriban.

I always liked going to Korriban first to fight some bounty hunter, as I recall the loot you got there was superior to the loot anywhere else. I didn’t usually get that Star Map though

But then I’d go to Tatooine/Kashyyyk to get the map there

IIRC there is no level order in Star Map planets. If direct assault doesn't work, try some other strategy. It's also a good idea to keep several level-ups handy, since once you level up you regain all health. Also yeah, it's a good idea to kill Calo Nord early (going to Korriban or Kashyyk first) to get one of the best heavy armors in game

you probably want to kill more stuff as you go along, most people do manaan as their third starmap. Also make sure to use shields and buffs

In general, Tatooine and Kashyyyk are significantly easier than Manaan and Korriban. However, given a certain amount of enemy level-scaling, if you do the "harder" ones first, you'll get the easier versions of the harder ones, and the harder versions of the easier ones.

One might say that if the worlds were rated on a difficulty scale of 0-10, "early Tatooine" and "early Kashyyyk" might rate 2-3, "early Manaan" more like 4-5, "early Korriban" more like 5-6, "late Tatooine" and "late Kashyyyk" in the 6-7 region and "late Manaan" 7-8, "late Korriban" 8-9, at least in my estimation. If anything I rate Kashyyyk as easier than Tatooine: it's certainly shorter.

Korriban is a bit of a special case for two opposing reasons.

If you do it early (as one of the first two worlds after Dantooine):
If you get the Star Map and subsequently resolve the conflict between Uthar and Yuthura in Yuthura's favour, with the right dialogue options, you can suggest she join the Jedi, and after that, she appears on Dantooine at the Jedi Academy - although this is pretty much only for show. A couple of other Sith students and applicants can be convinced to try out the Jedi as well, but they don't show at the Academy so it makes no difference to them whether you do Korriban early or late. Yuthura can't go to Dantooine if you finish Korriban later, because the Dantooine Academy is razed after the third Star Map and you can't return there - although it turns out all the Masters survived to greet you in the endgame victory sequence.

Since an all-Jedi party is the best party for dealing with multiple Force-using enemies, this probably means doing Kashyyyk first to pick up Jolee, then running Korriban with a party including Jolee and Juhani. You'll especially need Jolee if you killed Juhani instead of redeeming her on Dantooine.

But, if you do it late:
Bastila can't come to Korriban with you, in case she is recognised by various Sith students, especially those that are former Jedi. Since you lose her *anyway* after the third Star Map (fourth including Dantooine), it makes sense to leave Korriban till last. Even if you spare Yuthura and convince her to abandon the dark side, she is never seen again - although since the Jedi Masters survive, we assume she had somewhere to go even in the absence of Dantooine.

Of course in both cases there is the option of sparing Yuthura and leaving her as the new mistress of the Sith Academy, and not having to fight your way out at all.

Another major reason to leave Korriban till last is After you've escaped from the "Leviathan", the merchant Mika Dorin will have a cache of special items to sell to you, and furthermore, you're more likely to have the credits to afford them.

It doesn't matter WHICH world you complete first for this. Calo Nord will show up when you're on your way back from finding the first Star Map after Dantooine, no matter which one you do. If you do Tatooine first, you'll meet him on the way out of the cave: Kashyyyk, at the lower basket before you come back up from the Shadowlands: Manaan, in the submerged station before you can get back to your submersible: Korriban, just before you re-enter the Sith Academy on the way out for the last time.

Also, after the third of the four post-Dantooine Star Maps, Malak's apprentice Darth Bandon will show up with two friends, in any of the locations detailed above, whichever one you've done third.

Kel Algwinn is seen on Dantooine if you tell him to become a jedi. I dont think Mekel is seen tho.

I thought Calo Nord/Bandon was at the exit of the sith academy when you leave to visit the valley of the dark lords, and they appear the first time you leave.

My point about going to Korriban first for this was that (and I’m relying on some pretty old memory here) there are 3 items you can get from this battle - heavy armour, up to 2 Mandalorian heavy pistols, and 2000 credits. However only on Korriban do you get all the items, hence my suggestion
