Difference between joining the Jedi or the Sith (?)
(btw, sorry for my bad english)

Apart from the obvious force powers, the "light/dark side points"? The decision affects the history? Or don't matter at all?

And... which is the ""canon"" decision to make?

You get different endings. In the second game, you get to define what happened to your former character through dialog which somewhat changes how his story is told throughout the second game. Certain things always happen, but the reasons change.

Light Side Male is the canon path.

"Canon" is light side. In as much as that was the accepted narrative but as Disney have not included any of the Kotor period material in their definition of what is now canon, "canon" is a matter of personal interpretation.

Difference is relatively small things for most of the game (in that they don't affect the main plotline until near the end) but mainly about whether you go for light or dark force powers and alignment. Near the end you make a significant choice which determines which ending to the game you get. You can choose either at that point regardless of how you have behaved before then.

I would suggest you play the game through twice (at least), one as light and the other as dark. You can also try different starting and jedi classes if you do that, perhaps even as a male and also as a female character. All these choices make some difference.

I'll do that, do kashyyyk and manaan (before korriban) and save.

Thnxs for the answer

Can i Get the other ending (Dark Side) if i join the sith, near in the end, and choose in korriban, Unknown world and starforge Dark Side decisions? (My metter is 3/4 in Light side).

Save before you get to the roof of the temple on the unknown world.

When you confront Bastila you can join her and become the dark lord (DS ending) or try to save her then she flees to the Starforge (LS ending). Either way you go to the Starforge and confront Malak.

Play one to the end then go back and take the other path. You may find your force powers take more points if they are opposite to your alignment but it should not be a major issue. Stick with the alignment that matches your force powers where you can.

Hint: if you are LS you will need the third level "destroy droid" or "lightsaber throw" force power when you confront Malak.

There is only one decision near the end of the game that determines whether you get the light side or dark side ending. It doesn't matter how many light side or dark side points you have, that one choice will give you the ending.
