To trigger the glitch you have to equip your party members, but not you, with the items you want to duplicate, then save game, then unequip those same companions, then exit the airlock, immediately re-enter the facility though the same door, and you will find your companions are wearing the stuff you took off them plus you still have same items in inventory.
Here's the problem: the most recent version of the Kotor restoration mod includes an option on install to allow your party members to be on the ocean floor on Manaan. So if, like me, you have chosen to install with that option, this makes the manaan item duplication glitch impossible because they come through the door with you and so the game doesn't have to resort to a previous save state for them, which I am assuming is what happens to allow this glitch.
The guy on the youtube video - easy for you to find, was top google result for videos - indicates there are other zoning areas where this glitch can occur too. If he's right, then you should be able to duplicate them there.
Perhaps onboard the Leviathan in a similar airlock sequence? Not sure, but might be worth trying.
Good luck.
