Well, I figured it out for K2, a year later. I think the issue is that some TSL patchers auto-assume you're on PC, and don't know where to look.

Using "Playonmac," when you open the exe file from your download, unzipped, create a virtual drive. NAME>Library>PlayOnMac>wineprefix is the location. Making your own folder doesn't seem to work.

When you open the exe the first time, creating the named virtual drive, the TSL will run, until you get the Wine error message. Also ignore the Apple OS warning about trashing the exe.

Close everything, drag the mod contents, readme, exe, patchdata, into your virtual drive. Run the exe again. It now works.

There does seem to be a way to alter the "changes.ini" file to make the TSL Patcher not auto-look, but I don't think I can get that to work on Mac, Steam, PlayOnMac, to play KOTOR's.

And if you need it again, to install to the contents folder, from the wine window:

Desktop>MyComputer>Z>Users>NAME>Library>ApplicationSupport>Steam>SteamApps>Common>KOTOR#>KOTOR#.APP>Contents>GameData

Remember to go all the way to Game Data!!!
