What are your favourite class/combos?
What were some of the best character builds you ran in KOTOR?

I did Scoundrel/Guardian, and it was pretty deadly. The guardian is good with a light saber, and the scoundrel bonuses with high dexterity means you can't get hit. I also liked the guardians Force Jump mixed with Sneak Attack

You just named the best. Aside from the tediousness of having to drop into stealth and all the prep work to get the initial spike of damage from jumping, it's a golden set-up.

any thing 2/Counsular 18, Taris will be a bit of a slog to go trough but once you reach dantoine you'll be a force god, it's the most fun way to play Imo. I would pick scout over the others for the first class because of the free implant lvl 1 and flurry lvl 1.

I've also seen people do Soldier/Consular which is a "magic swordsman" build. It give high vitality, lightsaber skill, and plenty of force powers on the side.

I guess the only downside is barely any skills

Soldier/Consular 5/15 is widely considered the optimal split. Only skillpoints you need is Persuade and possibly Demolitions, if you want to cheese last boss with planted mines.

I do Soldier-Consular for Darksided plays. Or Solder-Guardian/Scoundrel-Guardian for Light side characters.

I feel like lightside should focus more on melee because the best offfensive Forcepowers are dark

Any suggestions on how to implement a Scout/Sentinel build? Starting attributes, etc?

It would depend on whether you want more lightsaber melee or force powers.

I think the best benefit of Sentinel is the immunity against stun, insanity, etc.. it's good against dark jedi

LS 7/13 Scoundrel/Consular. The build I play with can control every enemy in the game including the last boss. Has control, damage, buffs and heals though it is weak in skills with the exception of persuade. I usually have my party members be the skills people anyway.

Scoundrel-Consular
STR: 8
DEX: 16
CON: 8
INT: 10
WIS: 16
CHA: 15

Consular cause I love casters and Scoundrel, well, because Sneak Attack is broken, especially with stun effects like Critical Strike, Force Push and Stun. Dex is mainly so survive the early game and gives a little more protection in the late game. I try to save levels for the class transfer and switch usually with level 7. After that heal effects and aoe attacks, no matter if good or evil and the rest of the game is a blast. Well, except the last boss, he has damn saving throws in the 40s, but he is manageable.
