Griff was a duplicitous schemer so I killed him. Now Mission's stuck thinking he's alive.
I'm not sure how I killed him. Mission was not in party when I went to the Sand People Enclave so perhaps the option's always there if she's not in party, or more likely I killed him because a KOTOR restoration mod made it possible. Unfortunately Mission now thinks the quest is stuck in the Just went to Czerka-Haven't gone to the Sand People yet status. "Talk, what's there to talk about?" she keeps saying. "Your brother was a grifter so I killed him," I'd say but unfortunately that's not an option.

Do I have to keep Mission stuck in this state until I let her wookie friend rip her to ribbons on the Unknown planet, or what?

That is how Bioware programmed the quest. You told him to run prematurely and there's no resolution on Mission's end. You're going to have to live with it.

Oh no, dude, this was better than telling him to get to the city's walls before I'd cleared the enclave. I told him I would kill him, he said a few words, turned hostile, then my party killed him. This was at the point when if Mission was in party she'd have started talking to him. She wasn't in party though, I got a DS conversation option I hadn't seen before, next thing you know there's this dead Twi'lek laying at my feet.

Well, the KotOR Restoration Mod is like a bad penny when it comes to introducing new problems to an otherwise stable game. It just keeps turning up.

Yeah, that's probably what it is, I guess. I don't think there's even the option to end his life in Vanilla KOTOR. If you show up without Mission in party you're supposed to see his cutscene when you get back at your ship. This was the first time I've had the pleasure of killing him, or the option I think.

I went back to try to screenshot his corpse but it's not there now.

Another strange glitch I had was I couldn't get Sherruk to spawn on Dantooine. Presumably similar cause. There's a Mandalorian by a speeder on the plains with three Duros thugs. He's threatening a farmer and the cutscene's supposed to end in him attacking you. Unfortunately this time there was a pack of Iriaz already fighting the Mandalorian's party when I arrived and for some reason after that fight ended they just stand there and don't respond to me and don't become hostile. Unable to engage them in combat, the Mandalorian Raiders questline won't advance unless I monkey with things I don't feel like monkeying with.

Yeah, it would be great it some modder would take those Iriaz and stick them where they won't cause conflicts. Nice idea on paper, like much in that mod, but the execution is terrible.
