Two Weapon Fighting Question!!!
If I wanna use a rifle, I know it is only a single weapon but it takes up both of my hands. Does two weapon fighting have any effect on this???

Cheers

No. If you're only using one wepaon, unlock the 'dueling" feats. They give bonuses to characters using only one weapon.

At least, that's how it is with pistols and one bladed melee weapons. Not sure if rifles benefit from this.

Rifles don't benefit from either the two weapon or duelling feats.

Ah I wasn't sure. Thank you for correcting me on that.

The DW feat affects 2 1hs (swords or pistols), and double bladed 2hs. But I recommend 2 weapons over 1, because it means double upgrades. 2x 1hs with this feat is the highest melee DPS option. A double blade is inferior, meaning Bastila, despite coming default with one, would be improved if you later switch her to duel sabars with 4 crystals.

Dueling affects a single 1h, where a 2nd is possible, but not used. (sword or pistol) The damage is much less, but you get +1-3 extra defense. It's mainly helpful for Consulars, who are weak, and focus on casting spells, not melee DPS. Anyone else doesn't have much reason to use it. I don't recommend the mere 3 defense here over maxing Toughness or Conditioning, which will do more, without sacrificing duel wield. Vao, who comes default with dueling, should spam Sniper Shot in fights, maximizing her pistol.

Rifles/heavy weapons are NOT affected by either DW or dueling. While this does mean a lower top end DPS, it also means you can spend the extra 3 feat points somewhere else. For Canderous and HK, who prefer these guns, max out the gun row itself, then spam Power Blast in fights. Or you could start investing them into DW. The issue is that if you already have someone duel wielding pistols... they will already hog up the best guns. So a 2nd shooter should use something else. If you only have 1 shooter, then it's best to dump them into DW. Even though these types aren't top DPS, there are still some NICE guns in the game, see the Baragwin Disruptor-X, or Baragwin Heavy Repeating Blaster. Basically anything with "Baragwin" in the name is a winner. The Barag droid items also have infinite charges, if you like using HK. Barag for the win.
