The .uti file is the file that determines what stats an item uses along with what skin it uses, its description etc.
Now, that you have the .uti file open, select the Properties tab, and it will show you a list of all of the stats that the robe has. Find the Alignment Limitation entry, and double-click the small empty space/box to the left of it. This will open a new window that will allow you to either change the allignment limitation by selecting a new Subtype (Light, Dark, Neutral, All) or you can change the property itself to something else entirely. Like, for example: Property Name > Regeneration, Value > 5, Upgrade required to activate > None. Then click "Update" and the window will close. Once you're done, click Save and overwrite the old .uti file.
Edit: Fixed the game.
Your guess? How exactly did you acquire the robe? Did you make it on the Star Forge or did you use the giveitem code? Either way, a broken item wouldn't corrupt a save.
Editing the modded item doesn't have any effect on the default item, unless the mod itself is a replacement for the default item. If it's a seperate item, it has a seperate .uti file.
You did something wrong.
And i don't how the auto save got corrupet but as I said,i fixed it.
And for the robe I did everything as you said, changed the alignment to light side. Replaced the original uti with the editetd one and the robe still had the dark side alignment. Even checked if the alignment has changed in Kotor tool and it did.
You need to respawn the item with its code or load a save prior to looting the corpse. The changes aren't applied retroactively.
Edit: Works and thank you very much for helping me.
