Stuck in the tutorial because the level-up button is not working

Im at the part in the tutorial where you need to level up before exiting the bridge of the ship your on. When i click on the level-up button, nothing at all happens. Nothing. Is this a known bug and is there something i can do to fix it? I have played KOTOR on my laptop before and i remember this being a problem but ended up fixing it. By the way, i have already tried changing my graphics settings. Thanks in advance!

I managed to fix it by auto saving and loading. It may be a thing you need to do everytime, or it may have fully fixed the bug.

Had the same issue, saving and reloading on the bridge fixed it as well. Thanks for posting the solution.
