Report a translation problem
Try these things:
1) Disable Frame Buffer Effects
2) Disable Soft Shadows
3) Try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP Service Pack 3
In order to do those, you'll have to find your games' directory and open a file named "swkotor". It's a configuration .ini file and you should open it using Notepad.
Then, simply switch the values near Frame Buffer Effects and Soft Shadows from 1 to 0.
When you start the game, make sure to turn Grass OFF and V Sync ON in the options menu.

I already did this, its in my original post. It didn't work.
None of that worked, BUT, on a whim I plugged in some headphones and the audio works. No clue why its not working for my computer or monitor audio output.
This did the trick for me. Thank you Kwereq!
