Crash at start-up with Windows 10 64-bit

Hi,

I'm getting a crash when I try to play the game. It starts in a small windows that remains white and I get a crash report of the application (doesn't say error, just that it crashed and will look for a solution).

The Settings.ini was not created, I created one as suggested by other users and it didn't fix the problem. Also tried several compatibility modes and none worked.

I'm using the 372.54 Nvidia graphic drivers, apparently there is a problem with those, but as I play other games I don't want to downgrade them.

Is there something else I could try? Is this going to be fixed?

It appears to be a problem with current Nvidia (WDDM 2.1?) video card drivers. I can confirm it crashes at startup with 372.54 and 369.09 drivers. Same with Monkey Island 2 Special Edition as well, by the way.
Some people on other forums are reporting it works fine with 368.81 drivers, so you might want to try to roll back to those.

yes, no fix with the new 372.70 drivers either, which came today. both MI1 & MI2 crash still.

Weird. First time in my life I had crashes like this in games? Never had any problems running games in windows before like this.

I got the same problem. Just got a white window and a crash. Nothing helped, be it a compatibility mode or something else. After having some input bout that it's a driver prob I rolled back to 368.81 and now it's working without problems.

I have the issue since updating AMD Radeon drivers to 16.9.1. I'll roll back and see if that fixes anything.

Update: I reverted to the July driver and now it launches fine.

Also getting the same problem with GTX 960. In the meantime, just roll back the drivers to version 368.81 until NVIDIA fixes their drivers.
