The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

Voice and Audio Issue
I'm Running the game on Windows 11.
Many of The voices and the Audio effects are at a very low volume. The music is ok.
I checked Sound Drivers and are up to date.
I tryed both in mono and in stereo, but the problem persist.

Did anyone have this problem too? Any idea on how to solve it?

Thanks

LOW VOLUME WORKAROUND
Ok, I've found a workaround to fix very low volume. Hope will help other users too.
Edit text file "%APPDATA%\LucasArts\The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition\Settings.ini" as follows:
... [audio] music=185 voice=185 sfx=185 ...
Bars will be out of range in the Audio settings, but sound will be finally fine!

DO NOT GO BEYOND ~190 or sound will be disabled.
You may need to enter audio settings and move the bars with left-right cursor keys every time you relaunch the game to take the volume boost into effect.

ORIGINAL GAME BUG
Original game bug: right after starting the game, if you enter Audio settings first and press ESC to go back to Main Menu without changes, the game will immediately save in the Settings.ini "windowed=1" (i.e. run the game in a window on next launch).

Hey, this totally worked man, thank you! It's important to emphasize that you have to move the volume bars at least once for music, voice, and sfx every time you open the game in order for it to start working. And yeah, this looks like a Windows 11 issue. Hopefully they'll patch this eventually.
