How to change the language when MI SE is installed on Linux via Proton

Hi, I have recently installed The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition on Ubuntu Linux 18.04 via Proton. Accidently I have choosen the wrong language during the first install.

I have read that on windows systems the "settings.ini" which can be found in the following location

Users/[Your Username]/AppData/Roaming/Lucasarts/The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition/

can be edited.

However I can not find the settings.ini in the local steam files on linux.
Maybe someone can post here the right location of the settings.ini or another workaround to reset the language settings on Linux/Proton for MI SE.
