A tip for everyone: Make saves. You can stuck in this game (hell bug).

I mean you can literally stuck in the 3d part. Here I am[imgur.com] at the edge of the screen, can't move right or left, have to restart the whole game. I'm especially bitter, because I've accidentally hit the H button and learned that I shouldn't have even wandered so far in there.
So, save at least at the beginning of each part. Ideally, before entering any new location.

Great that this has never been fixed. Same sh**. Stuck and since I saved manually but also accidentally on quit autosaved, I'm stuck completely. So I could have basically just watched a lets play in the first place...

I had the same bug and got stuck at the exact same place.
I restarted the game, then put the navigational head back into the inventory, and let Guybrush move towards the front of the screen (within the corner he is stuck in), and somehow I got unstuck-!
(I haven't douplicated the solution yet but at least I can let you know about it. Good luck!)

You guys have NO idea what it was to play this game in the early 90's.. with no internet help. A game that should take a few hours took days..WEEKS. 10/10 would always play again
