wich is better gunner or archer?

recently i saw more gunners than archers but i heard that archer is better but i dont know what to choose

With the recent patch, archers are better. However, archers' dps relies heavily on crits. No crits at end game only does 30k - 100k damage per hit depending on the skill. Crits with charged skills do 4 - 8 mil while skills like rapid fire do around 2 mil. As an archer main, even with mystic crit buff which raises my crit factor over 320, I still crit only 80% of the time. Around 75% with priest. This is one of the main reasons why there aren't a lot archers at end game even though their dps is good. Not many people want to put the effort to learn how an older class works when there's easier classes that do either the exact same dps or better with little effort on their part.

In my server, I haven't since gunners since the patch, so I can't really say anything about them. I have seen in the forums that gunners have lower dps, and there were some really long posts explaining why and some dps comparisons between them and other classes. iirc, gunners are now on par with slayers dps wise. Another class I rarely see.
