When and why was the Campfires/Stamina removed?
Hi. The first time I played this game was around middle-2016, I've recently decided to play again and noticed that Campfires were indeed removed, as well the Stamina system (with city campfires / portable campfires).

I tried to search around but didn't found any reason to why these were removed or when they got removed.

Anyone knows?

Thanks.

I can't say for certain what their exact reason was, but I imagine it would be to simplify the game a bit. My guess is they removed them so you weren't constantly having to go back to town every few quests or so to refill your stamina and to keep burning talismans for short length, minor buffs was tedious to maintain.

Campfires were removed a few months ago and replaced with a 30 min potion that gives you all the buffs charms/scrolls did. They were removed to speed up the process of getting back into the fight after dying since it's inconvenient to stand next to a campfire to toss 3 charms in to get buffs, and use a panacea to get stamina back if the healer didn't have a full stamina glyph for res at lower levels. It's pretty much just QoL change. The potion we use now is better considering the fact some bosses at endgame require you to do x amount of damage in 20 seconds or less, or the whole party would wipe. So if you die around the time this happens, you can just get up, press whatever key the pot is on and just go. The pot also helps with classes that have heavy mana drain, and healers no longer have to use mana regen skills as much so they can focus more on healing.

I actually thought the Campfire was a simple function, I never bothered drinking potions or use the NPCs.

Hi, which potion you're reffering to? I barely used any potions on this game, I always relied on using Campfires, and Town Campfires whenever I died.

Thanks for the replies, you two.

I'm referring to battle solutions. They're yellow and can be bought from merchants, or obtained from dungeons/masterwork alk boxes/consumable boxes.

I'll see if I can find them, thanks. I play this game completely solo, so I'm a complete noob when it comes to dungeons and such.

[...] and low level Vanguard requests and achievements for completing specific quests. :wsma_happy:

Honestly, I am glad the campfires and charms are gone, they were taking up too much space in the inventory and bank for no reason. Plus the stamina feature was pretty annoying and pointless in my opinion.

"Battle Solution" are the name of these yellow potions? Oh well, they're quite expensive. I have 9k of gold, but I almost never spend it other than travelling.

EDIT: Battle Solutions are indeed the name of the potions.

They're easier to obtain without spending any money if you have another character or if you complete some quests. I never bought any and I have over a hundread. BuddyUp also gives you a few.

I think I got some but I ended up selling as usual. I got 2 characters at Level 65 and another which is a Reaper, so it's already high level..

I'm yet to check what exactly BuddyUp is. But I think I'm good for now. Also, playing as Ninja was a ton of fun.

Thanks.
