game still runs, can do the puzzle, but on the screen with points and the code, points work, code doesn't show up and I can't proceed, so I have to alt-f4 to kill the game has been resolved: it was an issue with my savegame, I had no "number of modifiers" selected and the game didn't know how to handle that. dev is aware (thanks for the help!) and will implement a game-side solution...

I think figuring out the operations was cool but it was too tempting / easy to just try out 0001, 0203, 0405, 0607, 0809 in that order until you have the matches you need and then just solve the puzzle without knowing anything about how it actually works. The art and story were nice, and good luck with the game!...
