Few essential tips to beat the game

- PORK CHOPS.
As far as i know it is located on EVERY floor. To get the pork u need to break 1 disgused block which appears at random places (at times really obnoxious places).
pork restores 60 health and can be a game changer if u obtain it on most of the floors, though it requires a lot of patience goign through whole level attacking every block with fists. Double jump and wall climbing abilitys will definitely help in ur searches.
- Potions.
Use them only when u lost 30 health (they restore 30 health). At times healing potin is the first one and u dont want to risk even that.
Other potions have littly value compared to this.
Same with scrolls, save scrolls that can be targeted for cursed items.
- Stats.
Armor! very valuable stat. Each point decrese dmg done by 1. IF u focus entirely on armor and get lucky u might end up on floor 4+ taking 1 damage from (some) mobs.
- Shop.
Try to focus on healing potions. If the potion is undentified, still worth it. A decent armor costs 90 coins while potion around 18. Most likely u will loot some decent armor with enough patience.
- Bosses.
Dragon- best to fight him at range and to use cover. Attack after 3 fireballs and then return to cover.
Worm- all about the spawn position. Make sure u kill the 3rd slug in an envirment fileld with covers and reachable places. Attack after 5th posion shot then take cover.
Orc- best to fight in meele. Attack from the back. He will require few soconds to cast animations use that time to stab him in the back, repeat.
I think its best to sometimes just skip the boss if u dont feel like u have the right equipment, or going to lose too quick.
-My build
A rogue with shadow max.
1st ability lets u loose a lot of agro on floors 4+ which is essential for surviving, as the floor has tons of enmies in tight spots.
2nd ability GRANTS CRITICAL on next attack. Use it with hamemrs and giant sword to get most dmg out of it. At some poitn i was dealing 40 dmg with every hit from invis. Use it to fight bosses. After boss finishes his animation aproch him for 1 crit hit and then go back to use stealth again.
3rd ability shadow clone is basically double dmg. Its so powerful, do i even need to explain ?

P.S. Mostly i just wanted to infrom everyone about the chicken.

There is no chicken, but there are pork chops. They can spawn more than once per level and heal much faster than anything else

I thought it was chicken, like in Castle Vania. Clearly they got the idea from that game, never actualy read the name cuz though it was obvious.

Yeah but since it's from (almost)2015, some things changed: pork chops don't seem to spawn on every level and there's some RNG involved. Also, the rogue build is outdated.
The other tips really help, though!

Defense also doesn't have that strong an effect. every 3 points of defense is a guaranteed damage reduction of 1, with the other 2 points being a chance of reducing damage (1 point per point). High defense does not grant you damage invulnerability.

Pork chops also heal 40 now.

2018 here: not sure if it was not possible previously, but for dragon boss, just take him into water which makes damaging you with fireballs impossible and slam down attack is easy enough to dodge (if he bothers to fly above you).
